Deputy Director-General Angela Ellard participated in a session of the Committee on International Trade of the European Parliament in Brussels on 1 March. She discussed the role of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies in improving ocean sustainability and strengthening multilateralism. She also called on the European Union to promptly ratify the Agreement and continue showing leadership in the ongoing second wave of fisheries subsidies negotiations.
