Bosnia sees FDI Growth

Foreign direct investments (FDI) into Bosnia and Herzegovina showed strong growth in the first half of 2023. According to data from the country’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), FDI reached 1.04 billion Bosnian marka, which is approximately $562.9 million or 531.7 million euros. This marked a significant increase of 30.4% compared to the same period in the previous year.

The largest sources of foreign investment into Bosnia and Herzegovina during the first six months of 2023 were reported to be Russia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Croatia, as mentioned by FIPA.

In 2022, FDI into Bosnia and Herzegovina had already seen growth, with the country’s central bank reporting a total of 1.44 billion marka in foreign direct investments for the year. This represented a 21% increase compared to the previous year, indicating a positive trend in foreign investment inflows to the country.
