MASECO is an independent wealth management firm seeking to enrich the lives of High and Ultra High Net Worth American and global clients through simplifying their multi-jurisdictional wealth management needs. MASECO was established in June of 2008, during the initial tremors of the Global Financial Crisis when the US ex-pat Team left Citigroup in London. When MASECO was born, the UK non-domicile tax rules were changing (meaning that American and other Non-Dom clients would need to pay UK taxes going forward on their global assets), traditionally secure financial institutions were on rocky ground and the financial crisis was beginning. When founders and co-partners Josh Matthews and James Sellon started MASECO, only a handful of other firms looked after US clients. Over the years, MASECO has grown its assets to over $3.9bn.
